6 months.

oh, 6 month Shai, you rocked our world. kind of made us realize just how faaaaaast time was really flying. left your daddy and i shaking our heads at the fact that though it felt like we had just had you, here we were, a half a year later.

not only was {time} moving fast… you were too. photographing you this month was just a tad different then your first few months :)

but i can’t complain because you made it extra fun. you have a serious fascination with the camera whenever momma or daddy snap pictures of you. we kinda love it. makes for some cute shots of your little face concentrating.now that your “teefers” have popped through, your little smile became even more adorable.

did i mention you love to move, because you do. always.

you also love to sing. it’s super adorable and we all love it. i remember the day we brought you up to the hospital room, you were in my arms humming and the nurse was worried because of a very thing that they actually call “singing” which has something to do with newborn airways being blocked. they kept checking your oxygen levels and every single time, all was well. you just loved to sing from day one. sure love that about you!

beautiful boy, happy {belated on the blog} 6 months of life. we are so very blessed to call you son. uniquely you, you have changed our lives. you are truly a {joy} and we couldn’t be more grateful for you and God placing you in our little family.

we are excited (but not anxiously rushing time) to see you grow in the many more months and years to come, little Shai.

A Onesie (& a Boy) with Character.

Boy Kimino? Yes. Thank you Dwell Studio.

Uh oh, he spotted the camera.

This was an accidentel shot. It’s almost like he’s saying “Who me?”

This is what happens sometimes when he realizes I am photographing him.

I. am. serious. He gets this ornery side from his daddy. ;)

Seconds later, this shot. This boy is quite the character!

Last but not least, my {favourite} shot.

I realized, forgot to write about his 6 month well-baby checkup. He now weighs 18 lbs 2 oz and is 28 3/4 in long. He is 75% in his weight and head, but his height is in the 90%. He obviously doesn’t get that from my 61″. :) He is healthy and that always encourages my heart.

We will be moving onto veggies soon. I am looking forward to that, but I can’t say the same for Chase. The reason I’ve waited so long is because he actually doesn’t really like rice cereal and most days he refuses to eat it and will only eat breastmilk! (And he still refuses to take a bottle)…

Since he is at a healthy weight, I haven’t pushed it too hard, but we are going to try veggies and see what he thinks then! I really don’t mind either way, because right now, this is the one thing I have that helps me feel like my baby boy isn’t growing up too fast. I will not complain about the fact that he only nurses because someday and sooner than I can even imagine, I will be missing those moments when he is in my arms.

Curious, when and what did you first feed your baby after rice cereal?

Securing Our Photos.

I am going to start adding either colourherhope or teddavisphoto to our photos. This is a test.

I thought adding this would be good for a few reasons, one because  you would know which one of us actually took the photo.

Edit: Ted just told me, he is going to make one for his photos. SO this will look different in the photos to come. :)

Family Walks.

Chase was delighted to see Dad pushing him this time!

He is becoming a “daddy’s boy”.

I managed to lose his socks before we took this walk Thursday, so we weren’t able to swing long.

But we did swing long enough to get some giggles out of him.

A mini ted, seriously.

When I was pregnant, I couldn’t wait for moments like these. Now here they are, and they are the most precious times to me.

P.S. I forgot to say, I took the first 4 photos and Ted took the rest! I did edit these how I prefer to edit them. Ted also did, check it out here.

Tags vs Toys

Chase {loves} tags. On toys, blankies, anything.

He will begin playing with a toy and somehow find his way to the tag.

But I’m not sure if his love for tags will ever top his love for one of his favorite toys. Can you spot him?

Mr. Cow was in hiding but is now back to play. It’s amazing how quickly Chase recognized this “old” musical friend.

Tag vs toys, I would say Mr. Cow won this round.

Ocean Eyes.

“What colour are Chase’s eyes?”

I admit, I edit photos. I l o v e to take and edit photos! As you can see in our header pic on the main page, I edited Chase’s eye colour by adding a little teal to tie in the background colour of our site. Silly, I know.

Well… his eyes have changed a lot since birth. At first I thought they would be blue like Ted. Now I think they will be hazel like mommy. Most days they are mostly hazel with an outer rim of blue.

Here are  his UNEDITED EYES;

Ocean eyes, see!

My favourite shot.

His “Are we done yet?” face.

What age do their eyes stop changing and stay a certain colour? Anyone know?

Little Fish.

Today was Chase’s first time in an actual bath tub because we live in a bachelor pad and do not have a tub! We decided to try using the bumbo seat at first, but that bored him.

He  loved all of the room to play and splash compared to his little sink  tub at home!

Chatting with Nana.

6 Precious Months.

Chase is 6 months.

Silly boy.

You are such a joy!

Words cannot even express the past 6 months with this little man. They are beyond precious. He has changed our lives for the better.

{Happy 6 months Chasey}

We had planned on having a little 1/2 birthday celebration tonight but because of some circumstances with my family, I am needed at home in Ft. Collins (please pray for them)!

Sorry about the quality of the pictures. Ted needs our camera for work, so I used my camera phone to take pics on his 1/2 birthay. :)

p.s. enjoy our new, official and STABLE site. We aren’t moving for a long, long time!
