the boys’ room {part 2}
I’m just a tad excited about this room :) Our boys’ room! And, well, you know me always wanting to document the process, so here we are! The newly put together room! I still have so much planned for this room, decor-wise and a lot of organizing of the boys’ clothes to do. But here is part 2!
It’s a small room that perfectly fits the boys’ beds, dress, changing table, etc.
The crib is up! As the crib and changing table were put up, I felt so much emotion. Whoa! He is coming and soon!
This crib and matching changing table were $35 from a garage sale!
Since I took these photos, I’ve already re-arranged, see?! I moved the green chair (like new, $5 thrifted find) to the corner of their room and the changing table farther away from the crib.
This bedding was Chase’s when he was a baby. I still adore it.
Speaking of Chase … :)
He took his first nap in their room today. His bed has been at the foot of our bed since we first moved in April, so this transition will be hard for him and for this momma. His bed was also a garage sale find for I think either $5 or $10 max. I am still searching for the perfect green, brown and aqua-blue-ish sheets for his bed! Suggestions?
Their room is small, their closet is TINY. So we added two extra rods to help with clothing storage.
The colour scheme for the room was inspired by the bedding but I added a colour as well, to give the room an extra pop. So we have this brown, green and white…
(this is a changing pad) I added this beautiful aqua-blue-ish colour as well! This colour will come to play in the decor I am making!
Well, that’s pretty much it for now. I will post more as it happens, not sure when that will be! My goal is to have everything finished by the middle of October, so we shall see!
I almost forgot to show you the other boy ;) AND apparently to show you what the colour scheme looks like together! HA! I did not plan to wear this colour I swear! :) Boy S we are SO anxious for you to arrive! (p.s. trying to take your own photo with a 60D canon is almost impossible! This one was the best I could do and I kind of love it.)
i love that JJ Cole pattern! Taylor has bibs like that! Taylor also has that sound machine! lol. The room looks great so far!
Have you ever tried making your own sheets? There are great tutorials out there and they are super easy. That way you can use whatever fun fabric you can find!
Love the beautiful elephant pattern! And Chase is such a cutie sleeping in his big boy bed.
